Our high school Future Business Leaders of America club has been quite busy lately! This month they participated in the Women in Business Career Summit at Kansas State and Career Day at Emporia State. Keep up the good work!

Open to kindergarten - 5th grade students, Saturday morning basketball skill building starts tomorrow at 9:00 AM! Students will work on basketball skills 9:00 - 10:30 AM, November 12, 19, December 3, 10. On December 13 they will show off their skills at the halftime of the high school basketball.

Scholar's Bowl: Today at 4pm MDCV HS will be hosting a Scholar's Bowl. The event will be help at the community building in Melvern, KS
The elementary has a lot going on this week and we can't wait to show you the students hard work on Friday!!!
The kids are currently bringing in coins to raise money for the American Legion in Melvern. The winning class will get a pizza party. If you would like to help your favorite class win you can always drop a donation at the elementary office. Be sure to let Ms. Kim know which class it is for or it will be put in the staff's container, the staff hopes someday to win the pizza party.
Wednesday is picture retakes. If your child didn't get their photo taken last time they will this time. These are the photos for the yearbook.
Thursday the elementary students will wrap up their coin drive and their coloring contest. Winners will be announced Friday at the concert.
Friday is the day they have been preparing for! Students need to wear red, white, and blue for the concert. Doors open at 1:15, concert starts at 2:00 PM. A slideshow of the veterans will play in the gym and the pictures will be on the wall in the lunchroom as well. Students may leave with a family member after the concert.
ELEMENTARY PARENTS: For Friday's Veterans' Day program we are asking students to wear red, white, and blue, nice clothing. Please do not send them in shorts or pajamas for the concert.
