NOTIFICATION: Classes for Unified School District #456 WILL BE IN SESSION tomorrow, Thursday, January 11th, 2024. However, many country roads are still hazardous and pose a risk for busses getting stuck during routes. Therefore, the district will only be running the school shuttle routes tomorrow. If your student rides the bus and you would like them to ride the shuttle, please be sure to have your student at either school by 7:30am. If your student is on a bus route and unable to make it to school otherwise, please contact the office directly tomorrow. In all instances, please take it slow, building administration will be understanding as students arrive.

NOTIFICATION: Due to the continued hazardous driving conditions within the area, classes for Unified School District #456 will be CANCELED for WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 10TH, 2024. According to various city, county, and state reports, snow accumulations of 9 to 10 inches have occured within the area and driving conditions may worsen overnight as continued wind gusts up to 45 mph are forecasted. SCHEDULE CHANGE: The HS BB game vs Southern Coffey County previously scheduled for Tuesday, January 9th, 2024 has been rescheduled for Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 5pm.
NOTIFICATION: Due to the Winter Weather Advisory forecasted for the area, school has been CANCELED for TUESDAY, JANUARY 9TH, 2024. According to the National Weather Service, snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches can be expected overnight and into the morning hours along with wind gusts up to 45 mph, causing hazardous driving conditions. Again, in order to keep our students and staff during this Winter Weather Advisory, school has been CANCELED for TUESDAY, JANUARY 9TH, 2024.
NOTIFICATION: Due to deteriorating road conditions, USD 456 will be dismissing students at 12:30pm today, January 8th, 2024. Bus service will be conducted like a typical early-release day, although times may be delayed as drivers navigate roadways. If parents prefer to pick up their student earlier or need to hold their bus student at school to be picked up, please contact your student's school immediately to make arrangements.
