Yesterday MdCV hosted the Osage County spelling bee. Liam Vaughn from Osage City won the bee and will be representing Osage County at the state spelling bee. Camille Davis from MdCV was Runner-Up. Third place went to MdCV's Emily Criqui. Congratulations!!
Elementary parents, please check your student's Rooms for a notification from your student's teacher. Ms. Finley will be available Monday night at the elementary school and Ms. Dyke will be available Wednesday night at the elementary school.
Coach Lingenfelter and the 7th & 8th grade volleyball players are holding a clinic for 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. Practice will start the last week of February and games will be played on March 23, March 30, and April 6th. The cost is $30 and forms need to be returned by February 23. Be sure to come on out and celebrate our HS Basketball Seniors tomorrow, Friday, February 9th against Mission Valley. Games start at 5pm and the ceremony will be held between the girls and boys varsity games in the main gym! See you there!
SCHEDULE CHANGE: Due to a miscommunication of schedules, there are a couple of changes to next week's events. They are as follows:
Parent-Teacher Conferences will now be held on Monday, February 12th and Wednesday, February 14th. Times are still 4:30pm-8:00pm. If you had a scheduled conference on a previous date, the school will be in contact with you shortly.
The HS BB game at Central Heights will now be on Thursday, February 15th at 5:15pm.
As part of our focus to strengthen in-house course offerings, members of our high school staff traveled to Manhattan this week for the annual Kansas CTE Conference! Can't wait to see what they bring back to MDCV!

Parents forms for summer baseball and softball are being sent home. They need to be returned on Friday so the Rec Board can get a count to determine if there is enough interest for summer ball. Boys is K-9th grade and Girls is K-10th grade. Any questions please email jlacey@usd456.org
