Change in Schedule for High School Basketball schedule for this week. The West Frankling game scheduled for Tuesday has been moved up to Monday Feb. 17!
Games at West Franklin will go as follows. JV Girls @ 4:30, V Girls @ 6:00 & V Boys @ 7:30.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we are canceling the 2025 Winter Mini Cheer Clinic and performance. The cheerleaders will do a mini-clinic one day after school and the students will perform at an upcoming pep rally. Due to the forecasted inclement weather parent teacher conferences are being moved to Wednesday, February 19 and Thursday, February 20.
Elementary parents your scheduled time will remain the same as what was sent home on Friday. If this time no longer works for you please reach out to the office at 785-759-3512
Due to the inclement weather forecast, USD 456, Marais des Cygnes Valley will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12th. All school scheduled activities and practices for tomorrow will be cancelled - including the school board meeting. The next Board meeting will be March 12.
Next week is National FFA Week, join in by participating in MdCV FFA Spirit Week !

Change in the schedule for tomorrow February 11th games due to incoming weather. There will be no JV games on Tuesday night and the Varsity Girls game will start at 4:00 PM followed by the Boys game at around 5:30 PM.

Our 6th Graders will be graduating from the 10-week D.A.R.E program on Wednesday, February 12 at 1:00 PM. You are invited to come and celebrate this accomplishment.

Future Smiles, a Bureau of Oral Health (BOH) program, is coming to MdCV schools on Tuesday, February 11th, 2025. A Registered Dental Hygienist will provide an oral evaluation, cleaning, oral hygiene instructions, fluoride, and/or dental sealants during the school day. We are a teaching facility and may have a Dental Hygiene student working with the Registered Dental Hygienist in providing your child’s care.
If you have KanCare or private dental insurance, CareArc will directly bill to your insurance provider for services completed. Any amount not covered by insurance will be written off by CareArc.
• If you do not have insurance, there is no charge to you. There will be no out-of-pocket cost to you at the time of service nor will you be billed by CareArc at any time for school-based activities.
• The BOH is working with the school to make sure all children have access to dental care, but please DO NOT sign up if your child already has a dental provider they see every six (6) months.
Forms are due by Friday, February 7.
